Gallarus Oratory was probably built between the 6th and 13th century AD. There are many different opinons. It is the best preserved early Christian Church in Ireland. Some believe it could have been a burial place. As with the stone beehive buildings, a corbelling technique has been used to enable the rain to run off. Original  artwork.
